The Accessibility and Accommodations Division of OAE is excited to announce AccessLab@Illinois, the first resource of its kind for university employees to try out a variety of ergonomic and accessible office equipment and technology designed to reduce injury and fatigue and meet the needs of employees with disabilities.
The goal of AccessLab@Illinois is to raise awareness of the importance of ergonomics in the workplace and to provide innovative and proactive accessibility services to employees across our campus. A variety of ergonomic office equipment is available to try in our space or to sign out on a trial basis to use in your own workspace, including keyboards, mice, raised workstations, footrests, and screen filters. You can also schedule a consultation with our certified Ergonomist.
AccessLab@Illinois gives employees the option to determine whether ergonomic equipment or accessible technology aids may be helpful in their workplace settings before or after filing an accommodation request.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact the Accessibility and Accommodations Division at 217-333-0885 or accessibility@illinois.edu.
