We are pleased to announce the launch of the university’s new Employee Diversity Dashboard.

This tool provides the campus community and the general public with insight and transparency on campus-wide employee diversity trends. The dashboard provides ten years of campus-wide data going back to 2015, for primary employee types (faculty, AP, civil service) as well as additional categories like extra help, postdocs, etc. It allows intersectional filtering based on race/ethnicity, gender, faculty rank and tenure status. It also features tables specifically looking at the diversity of senior administrators.

“The Employee Diversity Dashboard sheds light on the evolving composition of the campus community, illustrating the significance of gradual changes in diversity,” said Zaheeda Darvesh, Affirmative Action Data Analyst in the Office for Access and Equity (OAE). “Over time, these dashboards will aid the university in discerning the most effective strategies for addressing disparities in recruitment and retention practices.”

Heidi Johnson, Director of the Affirmative Action Analytics and Planning Division in OAE added, “We anticipate that these dashboards will serve as a blueprint for interactive data platforms that the university could explore in various domains like recruitment, retention, achievement, and vendor diversity, in order to enhance institutional transparency, accountability, and effectiveness.”
