The Office for Access & Equity is pleased to announce the launch of the university’s new Workforce Equity Dashboard.

The Workforce Equity Dashboard provides the campus community and the general public with insight and transparency on campus-wide employee diversity trends. The dashboard provides ten years of campus-wide data for primary employee types (faculty, AP, civil service) as well as additional categories like extra help, postdocs, etc. It allows intersectional filtering based on race/ethnicity, gender, faculty rank and tenure status. It also features tables specifically looking at the demographics of senior university administrators.

“The Workforce Equity Dashboard sheds light on the evolving composition of the campus community, illustrating the significance of gradual changes in diversity,” said Zaheeda Darvesh, Workforce Equity Data Analyst in the Office for Access & Equity (OAE). “Over time, these dashboards will aid the university in understanding the university’s workforce and strengthening our equal employment opportunity practices.”

Heidi Johnson, OAE’s Director of Workforce Equity, added, “Our intention  is for these dashboards to serve as a blueprint for interactive data platforms that the university could explore in various domains like recruitment, retention, achievement, and vendor diversity, in order to enhance institutional transparency, accountability, and effectiveness.”

All stakeholders are invited to explore the Workforce Equity Dashboard and to email accessandequity@illinois.edu with any questions or feedback.
